Well it looks like my valve cover gaskets might not be leaking now..... thank God

I did discover that my radiator over flow bucket still has a hole in it, I washed the motor down yesterday to get rid of as much oil as I could and filled the bucket while I was at it only to watch the water pour out of it for the next half hour.

I got my repair sleeve for my harmonic balancer yesterday, that actually sucked... parts stores didn’t have them in stock but Summit Racing did...... their store was packed yesterday and you have to stand in 2 lines to get your parts grrrr 1 to get your receipt if you ordered online or pay for your part then you have to wait for them to pick your part from the warehouse, must have been at least 50
People in there waiting in line :0...... stimulus checks getting spent lol

I love wix oil filters and had changed the oil filter threaded bung on my oil pump to the Ford/Dodge 3/4x16 so I could use the same Wix 51515 oil filter on all of my vehicles...... that has now back fired as they no longer make the regular filter only a racing filter for twice the price...... time to search for an alternative booo

I hope to have the sleeve in tomorrow since it’s currently raining like crazy today

What is the sleeve doing ?

After many years of a seal rubbing on a metal part like the harmonic balancer, axle yokes, crankshaft, and spindles the seal will cause a groove in the metal which then creates a leak, just replacing the seal will not fix the leak you need a nice flat polished surface for the seal to ride on

Installing the repair sleeve on my balancer will restore my balancer to a nice flat polished surface allowing the new seal to actually seal

It’s supposed to be fairly simple to install, drop the balancer in the freezer and heat the repair sleeve with some propane, slip it over and your done

Year old, it sure looked like it was coming through the material

I’m not a 100% sure if it was the material or maybe it is coming from the joint between the top and windshield frame

My top is going to get a real workout tomorrow. First one in quite awhile. I have a small garage and going to work on my Transfer Case tomorrow and need the room so the jeep will be outside

Wonder if you have a seam that’s passing water? I’d hope being that new it wouldn’t be passing water they the material......
